These terms apply when you use placeholdr.dev, including its image URLs, website, and Placeholdr Pro. By using the service, you agree to them.
The service
placeholdr.dev turns image URLs into AI-generated placeholder images. You may use the images you generate in your projects. They are created by an AI model, can be inaccurate or resemble existing works, and are provided as they are, so review them before relying on them.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful, harmful, or deceptive.
- Do not try to get around usage limits or disrupt the service.
- Prompts become part of public image URLs, so do not include personal or confidential information in them.
We may block requests, images, or domains that break these rules.
Placeholdr Pro
Pro costs $9 per month, plus any applicable tax, and is billed by Stripe. It renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Manage billing on your account page; Pro limits continue until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are not refunded for partial periods, except where required by law.
The domains you list only raise generation limits. List only domains you run. Keep your account link private, because anyone with it can change your domains.
Limits and changes
Usage limits are shown on the homepage. We may change limits, prices, or the service itself. Price changes for Pro apply from your next billing period, and we will tell you in advance.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and without a guarantee that it will always be available or that an image will be generated. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
Updates to these terms
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. If you keep using the service after an update, the new terms apply.
